Questions and research
Explore important questions, share evidence and help develop well-founded areas of enquiry.
Join the Community →A GLOBAL COMMUNITY FOR RESPONSIBLE AI
GAIA-AI is building a working community where research, technical knowledge, creativity, local insight and lived experience can connect with responsible AI development and practical implementation.

THE COMMUNITY WE ARE BUILDING
The GAIA-AI community is intended to connect relevant contributions with structured work. People will be able to organise around questions, make proposals, collaborate, follow decisions and contribute to research, projects and responsible implementation.
CONNECTED COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT
The Founding Hackathon will explore and prototype elements of this environment. This is the wider community experience we are working towards.
Explore important questions, share evidence and help develop well-founded areas of enquiry.
Find relevant collaborators, organise work and progress ideas into research or practical initiatives.
Respond to responsible AI, creative and technical briefs or propose future collaborations.
Build knowledge and capability through accessible resources, guidance, teams and shared practice.
Record contributions, authorship, roles, sources and shared outputs clearly and fairly.
Connect suitable work with pilots, partnerships, resources, ventures and real-world application.
HOW CONTRIBUTIONS CAN PROGRESS
Community input should not stop at collecting opinions. Depending on purpose, evidence, consent and review, contributions can inform research, policy, challenge briefs, educational resources, technical development, pilots and practical initiatives.
FOUNDING HACKATHON 2026
One of the three connected streams will explore and prototype the shared digital space for knowledge, working groups, research, projects, collaborators and implementation opportunities.
Researchers, developers, educators, creatives, innovators, community practitioners and those with relevant lived or local experience can all have a meaningful role.
